These goats all contributed significantly to Thunder Hills ranch in some way.

March 7, 1995 - January 13, 2005

Clarissa is the goat that started it all. She started my love with LaManchas (even though she had ears!). Clarissa was my baby. She was my first show goat and will always be my favorite. With the exception of April and Plum (see junior doe page) every doe in the herd is a direct decenant of Clarissa. She had two legs towards her championship (never could pick up that last leg!). She is also a two star milker. I couldn't have wished for a better foundation doe. Even as an aged doe, she has the ability to improve her offspring. She is the dam of two champion daughters in the herd, Brooke and Fawn. Clarissa lost her fight with tyroid cancer in January 2005. Her memory and legacy will live on her in daughter and grand-daughters. Clarissa was one of a kind and will never be forgotten.

  Dam's Sire: Amberwood's L.E.'s Top Hat
Dam: CH Thunder-Hills Unmistakable (Brooke)
  Dam's Dam: Blue-Sky's Clarissa Darling 2*M

Iris one of my favorites. She is the largest doe in the herd and the most productive. She has proved to be a wonderful, consistant, brood doe. Her daughters, Poppy and Ivy, are proof of that. She has tremendous width through out is extremely correct on her feet and legs. Iris has one Reserve Grand Championship and a dry leg to her credit with limited showing. Iris is actually still in the herd, but is listed here for reference as she is no longer being bred. Iris is now enjoying her retirement. Show record: 1xRCH, 2x1st, 1x2nd, 2xJrCH.

2004 Reserve All American Recorded Grade Kid!

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the fact that we lost Cici shortly after kidding this year. She had a complicated kidding with her first kid presenting with his head back. She was an expectional doe who will never be forgetten. Cici left us with two buck kids this year. This was the first doe ever to die from kidding complications so this is especially hard. Cici's maternal half sister, Thunder-Hills Unstoppable (AKA Sophie) is due to kid soon- we are keeping our fingers crossed for a doe.

Her mother Brooke has never been very generous with doe kids (she has 5 full brothers!), so when this special gift came along- she was to be cherished!! She did not dissappoint and picked up her dry leg in style by going Best Jr Doe in Show at the Santa Cruz County Fair 2004 under Cathy Pindell. She freshened as a yearling with a nice high, wide udder. I would like to see her teats a little more plumb and more extenstion to her fore udder, but she is a nice solid doe. Recently Cici proved just how "special" she was- by learning how to unlock the gate! She is one smart cookie! Cici has been bred to Tybalt and is due early May 2007. Show record: 1xBJDIS
